It's Bowl for Kids Sake time again and you are invited
to join Tim Sample, our Honorary Chair and the staff of
the Big Brothers Big Sisters as we kick off another fun
filled event! We are pleased to partner with Tim Sample for our third year. His heart warming personal story of mentoring, as well as his Maine humor, brought many smiles to all of the 2006 and 2007 bowl participants.
We have an exciting event planned with many great prizes! Ask about our 7:00pm ATV challenge. A limited number of bowlers will have a chance to win a 2008 ATV sponsored by Team Woody's Performance Center in Topsham. Special guest appearance by Rent-A-Husband Kaile Warren.
Bowl for Kids Sake is the agencies major annual fund raising event and we're looking for sponsors and team captains to help make the 2008 event a great success! You won't want to miss this event being held on Saturday, April 5, 2008 as Tim Sample will join us at Spare Time Bowling (formerly Yankee Lanes) in Brunswick as we "get the ball rolling."
Tim will throw the first ball at 12 o'clock sharp and entertain us with a little Maine humor! Funds raised from this event support both the Community and School-Based mentoring programs throughout Brunswick, Harpswell and all of Sagadahoc County. BBBS Announces First Ever in the State of Maine "Blessing of the Rides", Sunday, June 29, 2008
**PLEASE NOTE!! EVENT RE-SCHEDULED TO SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2008 NOON TO 3:00 AT THE TASTE OF MAINE RESTAURANT WOOLWICH, MAINE**
The City of Bath and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bath/Brunswick are pleased to announce for the first time ever in the state of Maine; "The Blessing of the Rides".
We proudly welcome all enthusiasts of antique, classic, hot rods, and custom cars and trucks. Enthusiast's from across the state will congregate on Sunday, June 29 from 2:00-4:00pm at the City of Bath Library Park, located at 33 Summer St and also on Washington Ave to receive blessing and support the local Big Brothers Big Sisters agency. Presentations will be given by representatives from BBBS and the City of Bath. A message to all enthusiasts, a general prayer and the blessing of the rides will follow. There are numerous restaurants and shops within walking distance. All donation proceeds will benefit mentoring programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bath/Brunswick. This event is open to the general public.
The "Big Swing" Charity Golf Tournament, August 27, 2008
This is our 8th annual golf tournament, and we have a great event planned! For a $125 donation each golfer ($450 per team) will receive:
18 holes of golf at the Highland Greens in Topsham, Maine. Golf cart, T-shirt, and golf balls courtesy of the
friends of Big Brothers Big Sisters. A delicious lunch, awards and refreshments at the
clubhouse to finish the day.
