Herve and Dylan have been matched for seven months and Big Brothers Big Sisters would like to share their story with you. Dylan is an 11 year old boy who is reserved and sometimes a little shy. Herve was a lot like Dylan when he was younger, which makes it easy for him to understand his little brother. Dylan likes to stay busy and enjoys outdoor activities.

Herve and Dylan were matched based upon similar interests and personalities. Together they have enjoyed several outings including going to the movies and to Jokers in Portland. Dylan has worked with Herve in his wood shop to build a pin ball machine. When Herve asked Dylan what his favorite outing was, he said it was the time when they went to watch a Portland Pirates game. Dylan enjoyed the experience. Herve has seen first hand the positive changes in Dylan since becoming his Big Brother. Herve and Dylan like to spend between 2-4 hours on Saturdays together when their schedules allow. Herve has come to learn that he is not here to change Dylan's life, but to provide moments in his life that he will always remember.
