Donna and Emmy were
first matched back in October, 2004 and have
developed a friendship unlike any other.
Donna came to our agency filled with delight
to share her time with a child. Donna wanted
so desperately to be matched with a Little
Sister before Halloween and we made it
happen.
Donna met her new
Little Sister Emmy on a cool October
afternoon. Little did we know, Donna and Emmy
already knew each other. Donna worked at
Roller World and Emmy enjoyed skating there
often. This was just the beginning of a
wonderful friendship.
Emmy is an active
and bright 9 year old little girl who has
enjoyed her time with her Big Sister. Donna
and Emmy have enjoyed many activities
together such as: going to the movies,
swimming, sleepovers, and just hanging out.
Donna and Emmy have also participated in
other agency events such as our holiday party
and movie day. Together they will soon reach
their one year anniversary in our program!
Congratulations!
Donna has been very
active in our agency with fundraising events
and helping to recruit fellow volunteers.
Donna was able to put together a bowling team
for our Bowl For Kids Sake event this year
and has actively participated in our
informational sessions. Donna shared her
stories at an informational meeting held in
August at Curtis Memorial Library. After
looking back at her time with Emmy, Donna
wished she had made the decision to become a
Big Sister sooner.
