DID YOU KNOW BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF BATH/BRUNSWICK IS LOOKING FOR “BIG COUPLES?”

Do you remember that special person who helped you to make dreams come true, who shared a friendship with you that was filled with joy and laughter? These are the magic moments that a “Big Couple” can bring to a child in need!

By becoming a “Big Couple” you can make a difference in the life of a child while spending time together. You may ask, “Why a Big Couple?” It’s a great way to share your time with a child, and the child benefits by having double the mentors, double the fun! It’s a win, win situation! We are currently matching Big Couples with boys on our waiting list who are between the ages of 7 and 13.

Here is a story about two volunteers who decided that being a “Big Couple” was the right fit for them.

Ray and Anne Paradis came to our agency in April of this year. They shared a sincere desire to help a youth embrace the future and pursue excellence. Ray and Anne are both self-employed and currently reside in Arrowsic. They have two grown children of their own, but still had room for one more.

Ray and Anne met their “Little Brother,” Tyler on June 12, 2006. Although they have only been matched a short time, they have enjoyed fishing on their boat, a baseball game, and dinner. As this friendship grows and develops, more memories will be created that are sure to last a lifetime. By taking the step to become a Big Couple, Ray and Anne are committed to building a stable and enriching friendship with their “Little Brother,” while still spending time together.
